Sector Scheme 9a
The National Highways Sector Scheme 9a relates to Quality Management System requirements for the manufacture of permanent and/or temporary road traffic signs. Certification to 9a is managed by BSI. They audit to ensure that we meet the industry standard for the manufacture of road traffic signs.
Sector Scheme 8
Sector Scheme 8 covers the full range of equipment and services required on the highway and for those that are installation maintenance services to show that there is a strong element of competency. Certification is managed by the Association of Signals, Lighting and other Highway Electrical Contractors (ASLEC) who audit Signway every 2 years to ensure that we meet the standard for installation of road traffic signs. In addition, we are Registered to Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) through ASLEC for the following National Highways Sector Scheme 8 Scope:
- HEc for Variable Messaging Signs (VMS).
- AHW for Lighting Column and Post Installation.
- AHW for Cable / Trench Installation.
- HE for Installation and Maintenance – Lighting and Lit Signs.
